Description:
- A spectacular lake lying in the shadow of Wedge Mountain and ringed by glaciers serves as the destination of this hike. The beautifully sited lake has the toe of the Wedgemount Glacier at its upper end and the great snowfields of Garibaldi Provincial Park's highest summit, Wedge Mountain, standing above it to the south. To the east are the ribbed slopes of Mount Weart and to the west, the jagged crest of Rethel Mountain. On a small rise above the shore is a British Columbia Mountaineering Club cabin, open to climbers who may have their eyes on some or all of these peaks. There is also a wilderness campsite. © Copyright Jack Bryceland and Mary & David Macaree Published by Greystone Books. All Rights Reserved.
