It really depends upon what you need to purchase (how extensive your grocery list is) and what you consider within walking distance.
The Upper Village Market caters to guests close to the centre of town and to the slopes, and delivers. The Grocery Store (that's its name) is on Village Square and quite close to the centre of Whistler. There's also the Marketplace IGA, which has a wide range of groceries for everyday use and is where many locals shop. It's in the North Village and is accessible by foot from the centre of town.
