If you want to take a break from all of the physical activities you can spend your day browsing through the many shops, catch a movie at the local movie theatre and stroll through the many art galleries. If it's the bird's eye view of Whistler you're after, Peak Adventure is the way to go. Jump in the gondola for a 20 minute ride up to the Roundhouse, then go for a ride in the one-of-a-kind PEAK 2 PEAK gondola.

Whistler's Peak Adventure is a fantastic way to see the incredible mountain views. Enjoy a 20 minute ride in the gondola that takes you to the Roundhouse on Whistler Mountain. You can stop and grab a bite to eat, or something warm to drink in the Roundhouse. After the gondola ride, you will hop onto the chairlit to get to the peak of the mountain. Also included in the Peak Adventure is a ticket to take the new PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola. This gondola is the first of it's kind and links Blackcomb and Whistler peaks together in one gondola ride. The PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola has the longest unsupported lift span in the world. This gondola, and the view will impress you.

One of the newer additions to the list of fun activities in Whistler, Ziptrecking is the new thing to do. Strap yourself in and race down the the cable at speeds up to 80km per hour! If you have a need for speed and beautiful views, this is for you!

With over 10 of the longest and highest ziplines in North America, Ziptrek is an adrenaline pumping activity. As you soar through British Columbia's rainforest, you will get a bird's eye view of your surroundings. The varying ziplines cater to different skill levels. Ziptrek also offers tandem rides for kids, so you don't have to leave them at home. If ziplining isn't your thing, take one of their eco-tours. Trek through the rainforest and learn about nature. You will still get a bird's eye view on this tour, but at a much slower pace.

It's a once in a lifetime experience, and you won't regret doing this challenge. Safety is a top priority for your guides and you can trust they will only drop you in snow friendly areas. So, next time you're watching that heli-skiing video, it could be you racing down the mountain.

No tides, no currents, or sharp rocks here, just crystal clean mountain fresh water. Believe it or not, Whistler has several places to swim. Lakeside Park is located on Lakeside Road, where you'll find a small beach, kids play area, picnic tables, BBQs, and a concession renting canoes during the summer. Rainbow Park is located on the west side of Whistler Valley and is a pleasant 20 minute bike ride along the Valley Trail from the Village. It is well worth the time to get there! Just off Alta Lake Road, Rainbow Park has lots of space and was originally the site of the historical Rainbow Lodge built by Whistler pioneer lady Myrtle Philip. If you decide to drive to Rainbow Park, there is ample parking but it may take you the same amount of time to drive as it will to bike! Lastly, Wayside Park has a small beach with kayak rentals, BBQs, and picnic tables and is also located on the shores of Alta Lake. It is close to the Creekside neighborhood of Whistler, has parking and is also accessible by the Valley Trail.

With over 100 km of freshly groomed trails, you will be spoiled for choice. Cross-country skiing is a great way to see the scenery, while getting a great workout. Pack a picnic in your backpack and set off onto one of the many trails. If you're new to cross country skiing, they offer lessons and guided tours to get you on your feet and show you the ropes. They also offer snowshoeing, avalanche courses, ice climbing and ski/snowboard touring. Everyone in your party will have something to do.

With eight different lanes that have varying difficulty and a special kids tubing area, the Coca-Cola Tube Park is great for all ages. Unlike skiing and snowboarding, tubing requires no skill. So, if you want to hit the mountain and take a ride of Blackhomb gondola to play in the snow, tubing is your thing! Prepare for an adrenaline rush because depending on which lane you go down, you can pick up racing speeds. The tube park is located in the Base 2 on Blackcomb mountain, so expect some fantastic views. One of the nice little perks is the converyor lift that takes you and your tube back up to the top of the lanes.

Located in the same building as the Summit Lodge Hotel, Sachi Sushi is a favourite amongst locals and visitors. The fish is fresh, the service is friendly and the sake is flowing. The great thing about sushi restaurants is that you can sample a variety of different menu items. The Seared Ahi Nigiri is melt in your mouth delicious. The Roundhouse roll and Mango roll always satisfy, and if you aren't too full after sampling the menu, try the Green Tea ice cream. Serving up some of the finest fresh seafood and juicy steaks, in a relaxed, elegant environment, The Rimrock Café is a lovely place to take someone you are impressing. Milestone's restaurants are located throughout British Columbia and this one in Whistler is a convenient and welcome dining option.
