You've come to Whistler for the crisp fresh air and soft pillow-like snow and when you arrive, to your delight, you see that there is so much more. Whistler is a small town with a large list of fun things to do, year round.
Whistler Village is the main artery of the town. There you will find most of Whistler's restaurants, bars, hotels, cafes and attractions.
The base of the gondola for Whistler/Blackcomb is in the Village, but there's also another gondola over at Creekside, which is just a five minute bus ride away from the Village. There are grocery stores at both Creekside and in the Village, which is convenient if you're renting one of the many suites with cooking amenities.
Much of Whistler Village is pedestrian only and it's small enough that walking everywhere is a breeze. There is a bus system and taxi services, so if you're leaving the Village, it's quite easy to get around.
No matter what time of year you're venturing to Whistler, you're sure to have a good time and take advantage of the city's great outdoors.

No tides, no currents, or sharp rocks here, just crystal clean mountain fresh water. Believe it or not, Whistler has several places to swim. Lakeside Park is located on Lakeside Road, where you'll find a small beach, kids play area, picnic tables, BBQs, and a concession renting canoes during the summer. Rainbow Park is located on the west side of Whistler Valley and is a pleasant 20 minute bike ride along the Valley Trail from the Village. It is well worth the time to get there! Just off Alta Lake Road, Rainbow Park has lots of space and was originally the site of the historical Rainbow Lodge built by Whistler pioneer lady Myrtle Philip. If you decide to drive to Rainbow Park, there is ample parking but it may take you the same amount of time to drive as it will to bike! Lastly, Wayside Park has a small beach with kayak rentals, BBQs, and picnic tables and is also located on the shores of Alta Lake. It is close to the Creekside neighborhood of Whistler, has parking and is also accessible by the Valley Trail.

The tube park is located in the Base 2 on Blackcomb mountain, so expect some fantastic views.
