Off the Beaten Path Nightlife in Winnipeg

  • The Best of NileGuide
  • Winnipeg has lots of choices by way of nightlife. Since the city is a bit chilly for half the year, good nighttime entertainment is essential for the health and happiness of its citizens. From nightclubs to bars to festivals to art performances, Winnipeg has it all happening after hours. If you’re looking for a bit of live entertainment, the Gas Station Theater and the Manitoba Theatre for Young People are both worth a peek. If you like your action on the big screen, head to Moxie Village for independent movies galore. Live music can be found all over the city, both indoors and outdoors. The Pyramid Cabaret has both hot live bands and a fantastic cabaret show. That really can’t be beat! Check local newspapers to see when up and coming artists will be gracing the city with their presence. Most nightclubs on weekends will also have live local performers. The Empire Cabaret boasts three full floors of live music, dancing, and cabaret, and is another local favorite in Winnipeg. Not to be missed is the Fringe Theater Festival, which has put Winnipeg on the cultural arts’ map.
