• You might think that Pasta la Vista's location, across from a major hotel and the Winnipeg convention center, would lead to a by-the-numbers Italian eatery. But you'd be wrong. Pasta la Vista offers new twists on traditional Italian dishes and a bustling yet comfortable atmosphere. Pasta dishes range from traditional favorites such as lasagna and penne with sausage to more adventurous Flurry of Curry (mango-and-pineapple curry sauce with chicken) to Black Magic, with squid-ink pasta and shellfish with chile sauce. Rotisserie chicken is a stand-out entry, as are a handful of Italian and Asian roast meat and vegetable dishes. In season, the Magic Mushroom special, woodland mushroom ravioli with Marsala cream sauce topped with crispy threads of potato and beet, is a knockout. Then there are the wood-fired pizzas to seduce the taste buds when nothing else seems quite right. Pasta la Vista is a fun and lively place to meet friends for drinks and dinner.
