Description:
- Within the heart of Yosemite NP is found this historic Sierra Club beach head. A beautiful old stone building, it's open only in the summertime as an auxiliary public visitor center, library and interpretive center. The curator arranges a superb line-up of evening presentations every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night from May into September. Beyond ranger programs, they've got leading authors, professors, researchers, etc. to talk with the public about their mountain perspectives. The free shuttle stops right out front; it's worth a visit.
