The best "nightlife" in Yosemite is actually night - a chance to be out in natural darkness and see the stars in clear mountain air far from city lights. Bears are more active at night, but they aren't a threat to people - they only want our food, so make sure there's none left in your car. Night is when crowds and traffic drop off and the park catches its breath in calm silence.
There are bars that are open late (11 p.m.) at the Ahwahnee and the Yosemite Lodge. They're generally sedate in atmosphere but the Lodge's Mountain Room Bar may have a ball game playing on its TV's. The Curry Village Pizza Deck is open until 9 p.m. (it also has a TV for sporting events) and there are great evening nature presentations right next door in their outside amphitheater.
Those looking for a club scene are in the wrong place - unless it's Sierra Club you're looking for. A great series of evening programs is found all summer at the Club's LeConte Lodge in Yosemite Valley. Glacier Point is the place to watch sunset and see the stars emerge. It's an iconic American tradition to take in a campfire program presented by a park ranger and there are many opportunities all summer for this valued ritual in Yosemite Valley and other campgrounds. Visitors should also feel comfortable taking a flashlight and just strolling out into a meadow to look for Yosemite's best nightlife that includes Scorpio, Ursa Major and Cygnus the Swan.
