- Built in 1901, this hotel has five large rooms with private sitting areas. The Marguerite Room houses the hotel's original claw-foot bathtub. The rear veranda serves both as a gathering place and as a sunny spot in which to enjoy the complimentary Continental breakfast. It is also a great place to watch the many colorful local birds. Located close to historic downtown Mariposa, home to many good shops and restaurants, the hotel is about 23 miles from Yosemite National Park. The inn is open all year, and rates are a bit lower in winter.
