Description:
- Big Sandy, at an elevation of 5,800 feet, is located in the heart of the Mariposa Ranger District. The campground has 18 sites with vault toilets on the grounds, but no potable water, showers or RV hookups. The campground does require a fee. There is much hiking and fishing in close proximity to the campground. The nearby Fresno Dome can provide a spectacular view of the area. Nelder Grove, a grove of giant Sequoias is just to the south.
