Groveland Ranger District - Yosemite National Park

    • Aquamarine lakes and streams, delicate wildflowers, spectacular vistas, unique geological formations, and other scenic wonders await visitors at Groveland Ranger District.

      The Groveland Ranger District encompasses the Highway 120 corridor of the Stanislaus National Forest. The District features eight developed campgrounds, two picnic grounds, seven maintained hiking trails, Cherry Lake (the largest lake in the Forest), and a 29 mile section of the Tuolumne Wild and Scenic River complete with a boat launch and twelve undeveloped campgrounds.

      It also offers numerous outdoor activities. Rafting, kayaking, fishing, hiking, camping, picnicking, boat launching, and wildlife viewing are available on the Tuolumne River. Cherry Lake offers boat launching, fishing, boating, hunting, hiking, camping, and picnicking opportunities.

      The Groveland Ranger District is located in the southern portion of the Stanislaus National Forest. The District borders Yosemite National Park to the east. To reach the Groveland District Office, take Highway 120 to Groveland and then continue 9 miles.
