Description:
- Wassama Round House State Historic Park is located in the Sierra foothills. The site is used by local Native Americans as a ceremonial meeting place.
Operated by the Wassama Association, the park features special events and tours. Gathering Day, held the second Saturday in July, includes demonstrations of dancing, crafts and basket weaving. Call the park for more information.
The park is five miles northwest of Oakhurst off Highway 49.
