I believe westfall meadows was named after my uncles family that lived in Yosmite around the turn of the last century. Need history info.

You could be right. Joel J. Westfall ran a butcher shop in old Yosemite Village (not far from the current chapel) from 1875 to about 1905. I believe he married a Chinese woman but I don't have all my references with me at the moment. He was born in Virginia 1819, came to Mariposa County in 1875. He grazed stock at Westfall Meadow (where he had a summer cabin) near current Bridalveil Creek Campground, and also in El Capitan Meadow in Yosemite Valley.
