The town of Mammoth Lakes is accessible all year from Highway 395. Mammoth Mountain Ski Area may still be operating, while fishermen and mountain bikers enjoy lower elevation activities. The upper lakes basin above town should be accessible, unless it's been an extraordinary winter.
