NileGuide Expert tip:

Excellent fall hike. Summer can be too hot & exposed, spring can be too muddy

Description:

If you want to get away from the crowds yet still experience the gorgeous views of Zion, this trail is a great pick. The Park doesn't advertise this trail all that much. Not many people do it, as it's a) in the Kolob section (which is undervisited anyway) and b) open to cows in sections, which can make dodge-the-cow-patty part of your hike. But honestly, the views and solitude are definitely worth a little hopscotching. You can also use this trail to get to Kolob Arch, which would be about 15 miles roundtrip. Camping is permitted in designated spots here. If you have a horse, it can carry you in and camp with you.
