  • Type: National Parks
  • NileGuide Expert Says:

Towering canyon walls and world-famous hikes not to be missed

  • NileGuide Expert tip:

Plan to fly in and out of Las Vegas.

    Description:

    • Zion National Park is made up of sheer cliffs and winding canyons, all carved out of striking red, white and pink stone. The many hikes and trails throughout the park showcase centuries of Utah's geologic history. The central Zion Canyon contains some of the best views in, and of, Zion National Park. During the high-tourist season, the Zion shuttle stops at all of the major trailheads. Visitors can hike, ride, pedal and climb to their heart's content. Local outfitters such as Zion Rock & Mountain Guides and Zion Adventures can tailor-make a trip for you. The most famous Zion attractions are Angels Landing and the Zion Narrows, both of which are unforgettable, world-class experiences. Shorter, less difficult yet still excellent hikes include Weeping Rock, Lower Emerald Pools, and the very gentle Riverside Walk. Take your bike or your (leashed) pooch or both along the Pa'rus Trail.
