Best Breakfasts in Zion

Description:

You need your caffeine before you can bound up today's trail in Zion. You also need a killer breakfast to keep you fueled up. Lucky for you, adjacent Springdale offers some fine options for your morning repast! Get in early to stake your spot or to pick up breakfast to go—these happening little spots get busy. Then head out into the beauty of Zion with a happy, full belly, all set to explore! Note: The Merry Wives Café is a ways from Zion. But it's really a kick for some people to say they've eaten there, plus they serve a darn good breakfast. Check it out if you have the time.

    Our Local Expert Says:

    Pie, pie, pie...scrummy

    Description:

The Thunderbird Restaurant in Zion is known for well priced American classics and fantastic homemade pies. An expansive breakfast menu gets you ready for the day, while a homey and comforting dinner menu welcomes you back after a long day. A slice of pie is practically mandatory at this historic Zion eatery, as Thunderbird is known for that pie, in addition to the quirky, misspelled sign outside.

    Our Local Expert Says:

    Bumbleberry pies. Really, really good.

    Description:

The Bumbleberry Inn website claims that people come from all over the world to visit Wildcat Willie's to sample their pies, and it isn't hard to understand why. One could easily eat one's fill of the namesake berry, with Bumbleberry pancakes and syrup for breakfast, Bumbleberry Pie for dessert, and the ability to purchase Bumbleberry Jam from the gift shop when you get on your way. In addition to the aforementioned feature ingredients, this charming little diner has an uber-popular Bison Burger for lunch, and a delectable Utah Trout for dinner, amongst other choices.

    Description:

This little café has garnered a great deal of press for how forthright the owners are about their, ahem, alternative lifestyle, cheekily referenced in its name, The Merry Wives Café. Food is homemade and hearty, coffee is good, and the Raspberry Lemonade is perfect on a hot Utah day. Decorations on the wall include family photos from many years ago - take a look around, and keep an open mind.
