New Brunswick Travel Guide

The largest of Canada’s three Maritime Provinces, New Brunswick is exemplified by the French phrase, “joie de vivre”, or joy of life. Natural marvels, story-book villages and urban panache collide in a unique blend of hedonistic appeal. The Bay of Fundy is a particular source of national pride. Dubbed a Marine Wonder of the World, the Bay’s tides are the highest in the world, rising to heights of a four-story building twice a day. The nutrient-rich waters are also home to 15 species of toothed and baleen whales. Peruse local produce at the Dieppe Market in Moncton or revel in a moonlit serenade by a canoe full of fiddlers. Scenic coastal drives abound, making road trips a popular way to soak in the different regions. New Brunswickers are also immensely proud of their cuisine, so be sure to try poutine râpée, a traditional Acadian dish.
