Named "America’s Most Affordable Vacation State" by AAA, there’s nothing you can’t do in North Dakota (except for maybe lie on a beach). Camping, horseback riding, shopping, and even wineries, North Dakota lets you pick your pleasures. There are plenty of museums that pay homage to the state’s history including the Pioneer Trails Museum, the North Dakota Museum of Art as well as a whole array of options on the Lewis and Clark Trail. In the Rendezvous Region, visit and even excavate fossil-bearing sites ranging from 30-years to 73-million years old. Want something more modern? Check out the nightlife and arts culture of the state’s largest city, Fargo. Maybe even a visit to Fargo Film Festival or the Downtown Street Fair?
