Amalfi Coast Travel Guide

The Amalfi Coast has an allure that has drawn visitors to its gorgeous coastline since ancient Greek sailing vessels once plied the tantalizingly blue waters. An air of myth and beauty lingers in the air, where villages cling to the precariously steep mountainsides and the blue of the sky and sea blend together to form one breathtaking vista. It’s a magical setting, perfect for romance and relaxation. Yet, the Amalfi Coast is more than stunning views, seaside fishing villages and terraces of lemon groves reaching down to the sea. Once home to the powerful Republic of Amalfi in the Middle Ages, the extraordinary coastline, fabled history and unique architectural style have earned the Amalfi Coast standing as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located just south of Naples in Italy’s Campania region, the Amalfi Coast is one of the world’s most beautiful coastlines.
