Montreal has a large Irish-Canadian population who are proud of their heritage in buidling the city. It’s estimated that 40% of Quebec’s population has some Irish ancestry so St. Patrick’s Day is a big celebration in Montreal. On St Paddy’s Day in Montreal, everyone is Irish. The 2012 St. Patrick’s Parade will be held on March 18, 2012. Come down to the parade and celebrate.
