Provence Travel Guide

This region has for long been a draw to both artists and to the jet set. Today it is attracting wine lovers too, as producers move beyond making cheap and cheerful rosé to producing some serious characterful wines of all colours. Best explored out of the peak summer season, we will take you through historic hilltop villages, along narrow mountain roads to spectacular vineyards overlooking the sea. The writers have taken care to steer you away from the tourist traps and introduce you to the real Provence.

You will be guided from just east of the Rhône delta north of Marseille, along the sea towards Saint Tropez and up into the more interesting hillsides inland.
