Kyrgyzstan Travel Guide

Kyrgyzstan is a Central Asian country of incredible natural beauty and proud nomadic traditions. It has the most liberal tourist visa policy in Central Asia and one of the more progressive post-Soviet governments in the region. Unfortunately, the nation (especially the southern portion of the country) is currently experiencing severe instability due to the recent regime change and the resulting ethnic violence. Tourism is not currently recommended. If you do have plans to travel there, make sure to update yourself on the current situation as it is very volatile at the moment. Military action by the Kyrgyz (and possibly Russian) governments is very possible in the near future.
