Tunisia Travel Guide

Tunisia is the northernmost country in Africa. It has been home to many different cultures, including the Carthaginian Empire, the Roman Empire, the Arabic Caliphates, the Ottoman Empire, and of course the ubiquitous European Scramble for Africa that occurred during colonization. Today Tunisia is an export-oriented country, in the process of liberalizing its economy while politically it is a dictatorship in all but name. Tunisia is located along the Mediterranean coast, a draw for its growing tourism industry.
