Virgin Islands (British) Travel Guide

Sailors, sun worshippers and celebrities all have one destination on their minds, and it’s the British Virgin Islands. The Caribbean archipelago is composed of forty islands where protected bays, national parks and miles of white beaches vie for the affections of sea and wind lovers. It’s a mating dance to behold. With moderate trade winds and minimal currents, the BVIs lure the most serious sailors from around the globe. Divers delve down to The Rhone wreck, while windsurfers take flight in the annual HiHo windsurfing race. But the coral and volcanic islands themselves hold equally alluring treasures. Relatively undeveloped, they’ve become a hot spot for billionaires and celebrities looking to get away from it all. From the granite rocks of Virgin Gorda to the fun-loving attitude of Jost Van Dyke, the remote guesthouses of Anegada to the beach resorts of Tortola, the BVIs make us sigh “ahhhh.” So rent a boat and get to island-hopping. Will it be the sea or land that wins your heart? There’s only one way to tell.
