Amanda Kendle: Profile

Born and bred in Perth, the most isolated city in the world, Amanda loves to travel and counts crossing Russia on the Trans-Siberian railway and backpacking through Tunisia among her favorite trips. After stints working in Japan, Slovakia and Germany, she's now sure there's no place like home and has returned to Perth, probably for life given the size of her mortgage. She works as a freelance journalist, often writing about Perth's hidden attractions, and also as an English teacher to foreign students visiting Perth, giving them lots of tips on what to see and do. Visitors to Perth love having a barbecue in Kings Park, looking over the city and the Swan River, and Amanda is always happy to join them. Amanda loves Perth's multicultural feel (and multicultural food!) and also thinks it has the best beaches of all.
