Travel Deals Roundup: Jet Set to Europe, Again

Travel Deals — By Nicole Lerner on March 25, 2009 at 10:22 am

The title may look familiar- that’s because we wrote a travel deals roundup on flights to and from Europe about six weeks ago. If you didn’t pick up one of those deals back in February, here’s your second chance. These new Spring deals simply can’t be ignored; so much so, I just booked a vacation to Barcelona!

Madrid

Check out American Airlines’ European Getaway sale with fares starting at $147 each way! Book by 3/31 for travel departures through 5/26 and returns through 6/25. Here are a few sample one-way fares from cities in the U.S.:

Chicago-Dublin $147
New York-London $196
Chicago-London $168

Thinking about a trip to Spain?

Our friends at TravelZoo let us in on the record-low airfare from San Francisco to Madrid and Barcelona on several airlines through Fly.com.  Pay just $425-$480 round trip — including taxes, for travel through May. These same routes jump to as much as $1100 for flights in June through August, so grab em while their hot!

Care for a Russian rendezvous?

On 3/29, United Airlines will offer the first-ever nonstop service between Washington, DC and Moscow. Take advantage of their introductory fare special, starting at just $171 each way for travel by 4/29! Some restrictions apply, so check out the United website for more details.
