Rapper Dizzee vs. British Airlines

Who’s gettin’ all crazy in the hizzle?

It sounds like Rapper Dizzee – at least, he’s gettin’ crazy in the airplane.

Last week, Dizzee Rascal swore at a British Airways flight attendant on the way to Portugal, and got kicked off for being ‘verbally abusive’ to staff. Dizzee was heading to the Optimus Alive! festival with fellow band members to perform alongside Coldplay and Foo Fighters.

While British Airways maintains Dizzee was causing a commotion and that there will be an ‘internal investigation and a decision will be taken as to whether he will ever be allowed to fly with British Airways again,’ other witnesses took Dizzee’s side in the situation.

One passenger said the flight attendant “wagged her finger” at Dizzee after he woke up from a nap and asked what was going on. The plane had been delayed for an hour, and was still sitting at London’s Heathrow airport.

Another passenger later tweeted they were “disgusted” by BA’s treatment of Dizzee.

Seems like flight attendants are getting friskier and generally more fed up with their jobs, and are taking it out on passengers. A man recently got kicked off a flight at SFO after complaining about a delay, and a weight-loss blogger was told back in May she couldn’t fly due to weight restrictions.

Maybe most off their rocker, a flight attendant on Virgin Airlines decided to put a baby in the overhead compartment as a part of a game of hide-and-seek.

We’ll see if Dizzee gets to fly on British Airways in the future. But maybe it’s also time some of these flight attendants to take a vacation.
