The Sichuan province is one of the major agricultural areas of China, where rice and wheat production is some of the highest in the country. But as can be seen in the photo above, it also offers a glorious landscape, with snow-covered mountains in the winter.

In western Sichuan mountainous ranges have been formed where the Yangtze River has cut its way through the hills. Trekking through these mountains in winter can be an amazing experience.
