Saadiyat Island
Another formerly vacant island, It now has a golf course and high-end residential complexes. Future plans include annexes of the Guggenheim and Louvre museums as well as world-class hotels. It must be noted the development was designed with the native flora and faunas' best interests in mind, sensitive areas are left alone.
