One of Amsterdam's most long standing gay bars, on a short stretch of the Amstel which is home to five or 6 of Amsterdam's most traditional and overtly kitsch bars. A good time is however guaranteed by the non-pretentious clientele. Following a makeover in around 2009, this typical brown cafe is now making an effort at hip, although you're can't be sure if this is intentional or if they just didn't quite get it right. Whatever the reason, it remains as always a lively place for a night out playing classic gay hits.
