This restaurant has been around in Amsterdam as long as anyone can remember. And while its interior hasn't been updated in all of this time, it retains its charm rather than looking run down. The focus of the restaurant is fondue - and due to their specialism, it is arguably the best place to get a variety of fondues in Amsterdam. To be honest, the majority of customers simply go for one thing - the famous cheese fondue. The staff are straight forward and the prices are excellent. The restaurant has a superb location on the Nieuwmarkt opposite the historic Waag building. There's also a small terrace which is open for those who also just want a drink. It's located on the 'sunny side' of the square, so catches the evening sun.
