Tips and reviews

Here's what Trippy members say about Rijksmuseum Amsterdam:

"The Rijksmuseum Amsterdam is fantastic, and there is an App with several itineraries to help you find your way around the museum - search in the App Store for Rijksmuseum."  See More

"In Amsterdam you can find amazing museums like Rijksmuseum Amsterdam or the Anne Frank House and don't forget the rather unique nightlife."  See More

"Hi Bev, Have you considered staying in a houseboat? We spent one night on a boat on Amstel Canal, moored behind the Nationale Opera & Ballet (Dutch National Opera & Ballet) and next to the historic Blauwbrug (Blue Bridge). Imagine staying in a houseboat, sitting on the deck, and watching the tourist boats cruising by. Take a look at the listing on Airbnb: >."  See More

"Your post isn't very clear but it seems you are visiting Amsterdam (3 nights) and Bruges (2 nights) but nowhere else in Belgium? That's absolutely fair enough on such a short trip. Both are very interesting and very enjoyable cities, both with a great deal of history. You could of course easily spend much longer in Amsterdam but 2 days will allow you to at least see the highlights. Travelling from Amsterdam to Brugge (Bruges) by train is very straightforward. Look at the official Dutch railway website in English for international train times, details and fares: ! :"  See More

"Depending on your interest in Amsterdam, you should visit Van Gogh Museum Rijksmuseum Amsterdam and the square right in between them is just beautiful."  See More

"Hi Ann Marie! Great itinerary! I think you best bet is to book your accommodation through Airbnb. Some hostels offer private rooms with private bathrooms, but you could find a hotel that is equally priced. In London, you should be able to find an Airbnb very reasonably priced in zone 2. Try around Camden Town, Kings Cross, Greenwich and Stockwell for places that are well connected with central. Basically, anywhere on the Victoria Line, Northern Line, Picadilly Line or Jubilee Line (Underground train lines, aka the tube) will be well connected to New Oxford St, Leicester Square, Westminster, Waterloo Station and London Bridge. This is where all the best attractions are. Check out my blog post for ideas on how to get around, where to eat out, free things to do and day trips you can do from the city. !!"  See More
