  • When vacationing in Antigua, you want to know where your next meal is coming from. But if you're feeling extra-adventurous, check out the fun restaurants of Antigua. A great place to start your Antigua "fun dining" experience is at Miller's by the Sea. This waterfront dining spot is a longtime favorite for locals and visitors to Antigua. The spacious open-air restaurant serves three meals daily and stays open late. Entertainment includes jazz and calypso some nights; Sunday is Caribbean night. The restaurant specializes in seafood like lobster, shrimp and fish, and it serves buffets popular with Antiguans.

Another spot definitely worth a visit is Lashings Beach Cafe and Inn. Music, madness, jamming, jumping and lots of beach cricket, not to mention Antigua's most enjoyable full moon party, best describes this funky spot. The bar sits on the beach, and the restaurant has a large dining patio outside. In the evenings, it becomes a bar to hang out after work; and Friday nights are a riot. Foods like nachos drenched in meat sauce and cheese or goat cheese salad with tomatoes and rotis dominate the menu. The bar is well stocked from morning to night, so if a rum and Coke is what you fancy at 9 a.m., grab a table and say "Cheers!"

If you like seafood, zouk (French Creole music with strong African influences) and rum, check out Papa Zouk. To the strains of zouk music, you can have a New Orleans-type Creole party in the Caribbean. Its signature tropical fruit drink is called Ti-punch and is well worth a try. After cocktails, try the stuffed clams baked with cheese or a selection of tapas for a starter. The house special is the Carnival Platter, a medley of seafood such as mussels, scallops, and shrimp. You'll have a blast at these fun Antigua restaurants.
