These adjoining neighborhoods skirt the southern section of Philopappou hill and the Acropolis. Some beautiful neoclassical buildings still occupy the narrow streets. Many attractions are within a short distance, such as the Dora Stratou Theater, the Ilias Lalaounis Jewellery Museum and the New Acropolis Museum. Newly pedestrianized Makrigianni Street makes for a peaceful stroll with cafes, jewelry and clothing shops easily at hand.
