Paul's has been delivering fine breads, pastries, and savory treats in France for over 120 years. We suppose that means they're pretty good at what they do, but there's no reason to guess; also no need of going to France if your plans have you in Greece, where the people love a high quality pastry to accompany an expertly brewed cup of coffee.The Athens branch tearoom is reminiscent of those in Paris: small, narrow, and usually completely packed with businesspeople taking in a quick, light bite in between office hours. The decor, on the other hand, is purely French country with wooden furnishings and chandeliers; it softens the rush of a weekday.
The constant crowds can lead to neglectful servers so be prepared to jump up and demand what you need, or take it to go.
