Lempesi, or Lembessi Street links Syngrou Avenue with Makriyiannis Street. It's a quiet avenue clustered with art galleries, architecture studio and small boutiques. The galleries Art 10, Ecoart, and Texnoxoros (the x is pronounced like an 'h') occasionally pull together art festivals where there is dancing and live music in the middle of the street to accompany the galleries' exhibitions. It's a nice way to detour when passing from site to site or just to explore the cultural side of modern Athens.
