Description:
The Corinth Canal was such a good idea for saving sailors the long trip all around the Peloponnese that it was conceived in the 7th century BC. Emperor Nero (with a little help from some slaves) actually broke ground over 700 years later, but it wasn't finished until some engineers of the 19th century had the help of TNT.
The site of the Canal is a fun, campy place with souvenirs and the soundtrack for Zorba the Greek playing over loudspeakers as it's a quick stop for anybody crossing into the Peloponnese, but the more active way to enjoy the spot is to jump off. Zulu bungee has been helping people bungee off of the bridge since 1991.
Open from June to September and operating between 10am-6pm every day except Monday.
April, May, and October: jumps only on the weekends 12am-6pm
Closed November-March and in bad weather conditions. Groups under five don't need reservations, six and up yes.
