Rangihoua Estate is Waiheke's oldest producer of Olive Oil. It is hard to believe now looking around the island that no one had thought to produce commercial Olive Oil until Rangihoua did so in 1997. They now grow and sell 4 of the world's best Extra Virgin Olive Oils right onsite. There are over 1,000 olive trees on the estate and offer tours and tastings to visitors. However, they are somewhat sporadic in how they run so phone first (+64 9 372-6214) before you head over. Apart from the olive experience, the native forest and tropical gardens are quite a sight to see.
