Banff National Park is a destination for those who want to get out and be active. People from around the world come to hike, bike, ski, horseback ride, snowshoe, skate, canoe, and sight see. Unlike Banff, which was founded because of the discovery of the hot springs, Lake Louise was intentionally selected for development because of its natural beauty and proximity to a great ski area. The lake itself is famous for its emerald color, and the ski hill is world-famous for hosting the World Cup. But, for those who can't afford the Chateau, or who simply want a place to escape from the crowds, the Baker Creek Chalets are a great option. Providing the option of a Lodge or a Chalet, Baker Creek can accommodate all different price ranges and needs. Everything from a one bedroom suite, which can be had for as low as $135/night, to a Trapper's Cabin, which will run you $265/night even in the low season, can be had a Baker Creek. These rooms can accommodate between 2 and 6 people per night. And, the Baker Creek Bistro, with Executive Chef Shelley Robinson, is a great place to dine.
