A self-sufficient stay in Banff can be had at Hillside Bungalows. Located on Muskrat Street, these two little cabins, which are quaint and cozy, are a hidden gem in Banff. Approximately 15 minutes out of town by walking, this quiet neighborhood provides a peaceful stay in Banff. You can enjoy the busy town at your leisure, or escape to your own little retreat. With a fully equipped kitchen and a nearby grocery store, there's almost no need to eat out, which can be very helpful if you're traveling on a budget. Of course, you're not far from a lot of great restaurants downtown, too. The spacious yard and picnic tables are a great spot to relax after a full day of hiking, sight-seeing, or skiing. Also, these cabins welcome pets and children to stay, as well, but they are non-smoking, only. Ski shuttle service is just a few steps away, too! The hosts, Chrissy and Jiri, provide great service.
