Rising up 32 stories above the winding Chao Phraya River, the Millennium Hilton Bangkok is actually on the western side of the river. The hotel's own ferry boats connect guests to the rest of the city, the Hilton's own pier near Central Pier and thus the BTS Skytrain at Saphan Taksin station, and the River City shopping complex. All rooms have full amenities, including fast Internet connection (at a charge) and flat-screen TVs with local cable. Bathrooms with jets in the tub and separate rain showers. Check out the artificial beach at the pool high in the air, as well as a fitness center and full spa. Restaurants include a Chinese menu, steakhouse, and an all-around general dining room. All require smart-casual dress. There is also food at the 'beach.' The trip from the international airport is about 45 minutes.
