Olympic Port/Poble Nou

Many people have coined Poble Nou as Barcelona's 'Silicon Valley'. An area once full of residential plots and construction sites, is now booming with start-ups, young entrepreneurs, new shops and a beautiful boardwalk. The 1992 Olympics was the catalyst that gave Poble Nou a face life, as it equipped it with water sport activities and athlete lodging. Since then the neighborhood has continued to blossom into what is now one of the most desirable areas to live in or open a business in Barcelona.

Not far from Poble Nou is Port Olympic. An area built up solely for the '92 games and a tourist hot spot. Situated along the port and nestled between Barcelona's natural and man-made beaches along the boardwalk, if you're looking for a casino and large, loud and trendy nightclubs along the shore front, then this is a great area to check out.
