Description:
This non-profit theater company founded in 1908 is known for adventure and innovation, as well as its intelligent and open-minded audience. Hosts new plays from local playwrights before they appear on Broadway, as well as visiting productions in the modern theater scene. In recent years five plays have debuted here that wound up on Broadway. The Berkeley Rep also has a very well developed theater education program, a school of theater for youth and adults, and frequently have docent, actor, director or playwright talks that accompanies performances.
