Join RA Sushi Atlanta for its one-year celebration and you’ll also be helping the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta. On July 15, the Midtown sushi spot is throwing a Luau-themed party complete with a steel drum player, fire-eaters and a limbo contest. Food and drink will also be on hand, of course, as will leis and tropical decorations. The party, taking place from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., is open to the public. DJ Krills will provide a mix of Hawaiian beats, rock, hip hop and top 40 hits inside the restaurant and the bar area will host the limbo contest at 9 p.m. (the winner gets a $100 RA Sushi gift certificate and the runner up gets $50).

In honor of the tropical theme, food will include pineapple cheese wontons, grilled short ribs, and special sushi rolls along with a Poki bowl made with spicy tuna and green vegetables over rice. Drinks will also fall in the luau line, with everything from a Strawberry Gingerita and pint-sized Tsunami Punch to Mai Tais being poured.

Patrons can also purchase a $5 raffle ticket to enter for the chance to win tickets to a Braves Game, a spa day or a sushi and saki party for 10 people. All the raffle proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta.
