Atlanta Souvenirs on a Shoestring

As a state known for peaches and pecans, Georgia has a variety of cheap gift items and souvenirs built around the love of these two food staples. During a visit to Georgia or Atlanta, there is no need to spend your precious money or quality travel time searching for overpriced souvenirs like T-shirts and Olympic memorabilia (the Olympics were in 1996 after all). There is a ton of bargain gift items that you can take home for the holidays that won’t break the bank and will please the taste buds.

From sweet peach salsa to peach jelly beans, you can find all sorts of peach-themed food items that are great to take to Aunt Mary during the holidays. For those relatives that are really into collecting magnets from around the country, you can purchase a peach-themed magnet! If you have a brother that is nuts for nuts, opt for a bag of Georgia pecan pralines or a southern pecan roll. All these items will cost you $1 to $6 and truly tell the story of this peachy, pecan-loving state.

Other Atlanta-centric options include an authentic glass bottle of Coca-Cola Classic from the World of Coca-Cola or a practical, sporty item like an Atlanta Braves or Falcons koozie for use throughout the Christmas, Chanukah or New Year’s holidays. Regardless of what you choose to buy your loved ones to let them know you were thinking of them, make sure to practice some restraint and keep your hands out of the pralines and off the peaches!
