Pristine beaches along the Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast are some of the country’s most prized treasures, and they are kept in tip-top shape by eco-conscious community members who paint the young coconut tree barks white and sweep the sand for debris after debaucherous weekends. Just onshore is Reef Runners,  an underwater adventure outfit who offer much in the way of underwater exploration, from PADI certification and multiple tank dive trips, half- day snorkeling expeditions, and sunset booze cruises around the bay. Wahoo’s Tours at the center of town on the water’s edge provide fishing trips, fishing equipment, bait, and a seasoned capitano at the helm of a sea-faring boat.
