Since the Tramvia’s Line 1 started operating on February 14th, 2010, the number of passengers a day has rose from 25 passengers to 40,000 in the past eight months. The Tramvia has taken 3,000 private cars off the road during rush hour that travel from Scandicci to Florence every day. The line passes every 4 minutes and gets you to Scandicci in 20 minutes.  Which allows commuters, students and tourist alike to travel quickly and safely to their destination and also spending less.  October’s daily passenger was 40,000 has exceeded the projected amount of passengers for Line 1. The number of passengers continue to increase each day as well.
