Banksy, the elusive Bristolian graffiti artist struck again this week on the side of a hotel in Torquay, Devon immediately adding over £100,000 to the value of the property. Banksy’s political and anti-establishment satirical stencil style works have been found in London, Brighton, Bristol, New York, Toronto, LA, San Francisco and even in Israel. Celebs snap up the street art in pricey auction houses meanwhile city councils regard his work as nothing but vandalism in need of removal. Banksy’s secret identify has mystified the public for decades, sparking a bit of a frenzy with each new public tagging. London offers graffiti and street art tours which include Banksy stops and Exit Through the Gift Shop, a movie about finding Banksy opened earlier this year. Wonder if he takes address requests?
