Description:

There's plenty to do in this colorful, red rock amphitheater monument. Camping, hiking, fishing, star parties, wildflowers, fall colors, ranger-led activities, and more. There are only four trails in the monument, ranging from easy to strenuous. The bonus is that they're very unlikely to be crowded unless you're there during an event, such as their annual Wildflower Festival. In the wintertime, this is a heavenly place for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling.
