Day 1 - Cabo San Lucas

Go out for an afternoon trip with Cabo Expeditions, Los Cabo's most friendly and ecologically responsible snorkeling and diving outfit, after you get settled in. They're also incredibly knowledgeable about the local landscape and wildlife, so you'll get all sorts of fascinating tidbits from the crew while you're enjoying a whale-watching and snorkeling trip around Cabo's oceanside landmarks, including Lover's Beach and Land's End, where the Pacific meets the Sea of Cortez. When you get back on land, head to Felix's, one of the best traditional Mexican restaurants in town, which combines a friendly and homey atmosphere with fresh seafood, dozens of salsas, and fabulous margaritas. The Marquis Los Cabos resort is known for its exceptional service and serenity. Located just south of San Jose del Cabo, it is quieter and more relaxing than many of the area's resorts, and transportation into the Cabo cities is a breeze. With three restaurants, two infinity pools, a spa and six whirlpools, though, you may never want to leave.

Day 2 - Cabo San Lucas

Walk around downtown Cabo San Lucas in the morning, including the bustling activity around the Town Square, and get some fascinating local history at the Huichol museum. When you get hungry, try some of the amazing local seafood for lunch at Nick-San, where traditional Japanese blends with some Mexican flavors to make delicious sushi. After, head out with Andromeda Divers, one of the most reliable and personable diving operations in Los Cabos. Yyou can get SCUBA certified with Andromeda, and they offer a variety of diving and kayaking trips. Go out for a half-day diving trip around the point, where you'll see amazing sea life with breaks for delicious refreshments. Have a late dinner in San Jose del Cabo at Tequila, a great fresh and contemporary fusion restaurant where the food comes straight from the owner's organic local ranch. The courtyard is beautifully lit by lanterns, and there are excellent tequila and wine selections, making this a wonderful place to wind down after an active day of sightseeing.
